The Lamorna Cove, Lamorna, Cornwall

For the artistic crowd Lamorna Cove is the "window of England".

I spent most of my time sitting by the window, can you believe this view?
Luscious vegetation covers the narrow gorge, all the way down to the pebbly beach.
The view from the beginning of the valley down to the sea is simply dreamy.
No wonder a school of painting was established right here in late 1800s!
Fuchsia, yellow and white wild flowers cover the slopes of the hills, where the sky meets the sea in the horizon. It makes it difficult to leave! During our stay at the Cove, we didn't really go anywhere else. Just enjoyed the fabulous view from the poolside.

The Cove is more of a collection of apartments rather than a hotel.
Each suite is equipped with its' own kitchenette and very crisp furnishings.
We stayed in apartment 8, where I spent most of my time curled by the window, taking in all of the wonderful scenery, over the pool, down the valley and into the horizon. Such a colourful landscape.
Oh, the pool is to die for! So inviting. Although be prepared, even in the summer months it might be too cold to swim, but just sitting around, in the sunshine, is delightful!
A modern creation, totally blending in with its surroundings: the Minack Theatre

If your purpose is to escape the noise and madness of everyday life, this is the part of Cornwall you need to visit.
It’s quiet around the Cove; life slows down and you can re-invent the old bond with nature, feel the breeze through the trees and listen to birds singing. Sounds like a 20's movie, doesn’t it?
Well, that’s Cornwall for you!
