L'Absinthe, Primrose Hill

So...if Paris is not an option for dinner tonight, pop over to Primrose Hill instead!

L'Absinthe is a tiny, corner, French restaurant, with buzzing atmosphere upstairs and candlelit sophistication downstairs.
And you know you are in good hands, when you hear so many French speakers around, forget about magazine reviews - if expats prefer to eat here, then it must be good - our rule of thumb!
Not to mention that the international Spanish model Eugenia Silva seems to frequent the place, when in town - yes I follow her blog!
Absinthe Creme brulee is the king of the menu, off course! Velvety cream meets crunchy caramel, infused with the green beast...

Even sides here taste as good as everything else; mash is dreamy, smooth and buttery; potatoes dauphinoise have a hint of garlic and a smoky crust! Simple food, for happy tummies!

And to top it all off, there is a vast selection of wines, which are sold at retail prices and you only pay corkage if you want to have it with your dinner.
The perfect little place for a first or... any date really! x
